As my understanding goes, there's not too much background data, or baseline data, for a lot of plants and animals in the arctic, so if anyone has the information, it's the elders and the hunters that have been gathering this knowledge through generations and generations. And, the first people who will notice change will be these hunters and people that are out there all the time.
