My mother was a carver. And my sister was a carver. I carved, too. You saw Kananginak Pootoogook carve.
It's sustainable another way, too, I think. It allows us to communicate our knowledge, our emotions, and our values. It sustains us as artists, and it sustains those who enjoy the art. I've been thinking that sometimes, what you can't say in words can be expressed through art. Do you agree?
